This week we celebrated Sharmain Ball for her 5 years of loyal service to the Sozo Tribe. Sharmain served as the Finance Administrator and played a pivotal role in helping shape a due diligence finance system that ensures that the financial stewardship at Sozo is maintained to a standard of excellence. Her exceptional work ethic and willingness to train and develop others will always be remembered as her Sozo journey draws to an end. Sharmain will always remain a part of the Tribe and we look forward to her social visits in the future and her home-baked goodies which she always spoiled the Tribe with out of the goodness of her heart. We appreciate her contributions as a person and a colleague and wish her all the best for the next chapter of her life story.

Today we started our EduCentre holiday programme focused on unity and becoming self conducive. The programme will run for two weeks and the goal is to provide our Sozonites with a fun, rejuvenating experience while still learning about values such as unity, respect, building friendships and goal setting.

In the second week, our learners will experience all the different skills we have available in our skills development programme and what careers those can lead to.

What we are looking for
A self-driven individual to ensure good, sound financial management and accounting of the organisation, ensuring transparency, integrity, and accountability in all finance areas. Implementing, monitoring, and refining financial systems that are efficient and in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles.

Reporting to the COO, the Finance Manager/Director will build and strengthen the organisation’s the finance department and execute the bookkeeping, financial management and finance-related human resource functions (Payroll) of the of Organisation, its Programmes and Projects.

Compliance
The Finance Manager/Director will be responsible to ensure that the organisation's finances are managed in accordance with the organisation's Finance Policies and Processes and are responsible for ensuring the organisation's statutory and financial compliance (SARS
